Tonight’s show is mostly on the subject of suicide, the issues no one want’s to talk about. Why do we talk about poop emojis and sex in the same fashion as mental health? Why are survivors the U.S. Capital’s finest, ending their lives? Why is protecting D.C. worse than a military trip to fight against Afganistan for an example? Why are we mocking their perceptions during the January 6th Insurrection?
The upcoming changes to the 3-digit 9-8-8 for the short number for the National Suicide Hotline, if you are so desperate, should you even call them in the first place if you share your phone with your family plan, or your family gets alerts when a 9-1-1 call is placed? (Yes I trashed Kari’s Law once again.) Then the issues of co-morbid dev/mental disorders and why no one is talking about that.
Are people afraid to admit they have suicidal thoughts as they fear maybe they’ll be locked up with a combative mental health professional to cure it?
Also you find out indirectly how The Weekly Zoo came to be after being laid off the day before Christmas Eve at the MIS Government, moonlighting as a minifigure state employee running the civilian government’s Telephony network.
Then we remember Tangie, my pet fish, who was actually my first death.
L&R did not air tonight.
